Gustavo, Our 23rd Grad!

11/23/2024

Times are a-changing, but the Moro Moro Scholarship Fund (MMSF) continues to provide opportunities for the most deserving students from Moro Moro, Bolivia, and surrounding rural communities. This year, we supported 10 students on two campuses, including our first-ever graduate from the Vallegrande campus, our most recent site!

Gustavo Escobar Licenciado '24, MSSF Scholar, Agricultural Engineering

We are so proud of our latest graduate, Gustavo Escobar Licenciado '24, who graduated with a degree in agricultural engineering. He joins the 22 previous MMSF scholars who have graduated since 1997.

The Moro Moro Scholarship Fund remains committed to providing a full scholarship to the current and future Moro Moro scholars. Every year, we provide room, board, tuition, and guidance to these deserving students. Please consider a gift to support the education of these bright youths.

Without your financial assistance, a college education would be virtually impossible.

MMSF Changes Bolivian Directors

We are so happy to welcome Beatriz Nogales as Bolivian Director of the MMSF! She comes to us with a wealth of experience in the business world. Her connections will be helpful to students as they transition from academic to professional life. And we cannot thank our former director, Fatima Lil Eld, enough for her 20-plus years of service to the MMSF. Without her tireless and faithful work on behalf of the students, we surely would not have enjoyed this level of success. And a special thanks goes out to 2010 graduate Franklin Avila Cueller for his continued mentorship of our new students.

We need your help now to continue this scholarship. Our expected operating costs remain around $1,400 (USD) per student. Your gift will have a direct impact on the life of a deserving young scholar like Gustavo and our newest students.

Please consider a gift in support of this vital effort.

It is my honor and privilege to once again address you regarding the state of the Moro Moro Scholarship Fund. Indeed, the good work continues. Six Moro Moro scholars are studying and moving toward degrees and toward gainful employment. So far, five have graduated and two more will graduate in 2013. This is made possible with your financial support....
