The work of MMSF and the Moro Moro scholars continues!
Since 1997, MMSF has supported 22 students as they have studied and graduated. We are currently more productive than ever. This might be a record year for MMSF, we have been able to support 11 students at two campuses!
Two of these young scholars are preparing their graduation theses. This year, we especially celebrate Alexis Cejas Cuchallo, our most recent graduate. Your past gifts made this possible!
Please remember that the children of Moro Moro have virtually no chance at a higher education without this scholarship. Consider a gift to be part of this good work as we move forward.
It all starts with students from the Moro Moro area, my father's hometown. These scholars have shown academic promise yet lack the means for obtaining a higher education. Once the students are selected, MMSF makes it happen. The students are fully supported with tuition costs, food, and housing. We currently support students in Vallegrande and Santa Cruz, Bolivia. In the past couple of years, we have benefited from the Vallegrande campus.
At the Vallegrande campus, students can live closer to home and receive the same quality education ... all thanks to your generous support.
We expect operating costs to remain around $1400 per student per year. This amount covers everything from classes to transportation to housing (including new paint!). What an incredible bargain! I am proud to report that the Moro Moro Scholarship Fund (MMSF) ends 2019 in fantastic shape! We are blessed to support nine students at campuses in Santa Cruz and Vallegrande, Bolivia. Plus, we are looking forward to the graduation of MMSF Scholars Liliana Aguado (nursing) and Dalcy Escobar (pharmacy).
