Wow! What a year it has been. Like the rest of the world, Bolivia has been dealing with the COVID pandemic as well. Classes at the university stopped in late March. Students returned to their homes in Moro Moro, Bolivia, where not all had internet access, so online classes were limited. Despite all the setbacks, MMSF remains committed to providing full scholarships to the current and future Moro Moro scholars.
When classes begin again, we are prepared to provide room, board, tuition, and guidance to these deserving students.

MMSF was able to help the town of Moro Moro battle the COVID pandemic. Following a request for aid from Cumpa, the husband of my cousin Karen, we asked Aida (our first graduate and now a doctor serving in Moro Moro) what was needed. She asked for a pulse oximeter, a digital thermometer, and a digital blood pressure cuff. We were able to coordinate and fund the purchase of these three items.
MMSF is happy to report yet another graduation! Dalcy Escobar graduated with a degree in nursing in December 2019. We are so proud of Dalcy's achievement and her desire to serve her community!

Moro Moro, my father's hometown, is set in the eastern foothills of the Andes in Bolivia, South America. The town is a 12-hour bus ride from the nearest large city. Moro Moro is rich in culture but lacking in opportunity and financial means. A few years ago, my father and some friends started a scholarship fund to address these needs. Your donation continues to provide that opportunity for a bright young scholar to continue their education.

I am proud to report that the Moro Moro Scholarship Fund (MMSF) ends 2019 in fantastic shape! We are blessed to support nine students at campuses in Santa Cruz and Vallegrande, Bolivia. Plus, we are looking forward to the graduation of MMSF Scholars Liliana Aguado (nursing) and Dalcy Escobar (pharmacy).
